Summary:

As the Paladin Prophecy opens, Will West is careful to not draw attention to himself. At his parents' request, he's made sure to get meh grades and to stay in the middle of the group on his cross-country team. Then Will tweaks, accidentally scoring off the charts on a nationwide exam. Now Will is being sent to a prep school and followed by suspicious men driving black sedans. When Will suddenly loses his parents, he must go to the school. There he starts to see all that he can do: physical and mental things that should be impossible. He soon learns that his abilities are tied to a war between crazy forces that are millennia old.

What I liked and didn’t like:

I liked the magic part of the books because it makes them seem kinda like superheros. I also loved how many close calls they had because it kept me on edge. For example, in the third book, they were being chased by demon flesh-eating flowers. I didn’t like that there were some slow parts where I felt bored. For example, there were several parts where they were just talking and there was no action.

What it reminded me of:

The Paladin Prophecy reminded me of the I am number four series because they both include Teenagers hiding their secret superpowers. It also reminds me of the Unwind series because adults are running deadly, secret, well put together organizations.
