Summary:

In Bravelands we meet Fearless, a young lion, Thorn, a young baboon, and Sky, a young elephant. Fearless’s tribe is taken over and he has to go out to live with baboons. Meanwhile at the troop their leaders keep dying. Thorn finds out that it’s because an older baboon stinger has been killing them so he can become the leader. Meanwhile Sky has special abilities that only great parents, the leaders of the bravelands have. Each one of these animals have to adapt and figure out how to survive in their changing world.

What I like and didn’t like:

I really liked how the story had so many angles and plot twists. I won’t give you any examples as that would ruin the story but there’s some surprising betrayals. I also liked how well they explained everything so that you always knew what was going on. What I didn’t like is that it kept switching back and forth between characters so when you feel like you're just getting to a good part it switches on you.

What books it is like:

This book is like Percy Jackson. There’s a bunch of plot twists in both of these series. For example in Percy Jackson, Percy gets betrayed by his close friend Luke. Another reason they’re similar is because they both are high stake adventure series.
