Summary:

Explorer Academy was a great series. Cruz is a 12 year old boy that lives with his dad  in Kauai, Hawaii. Cruz’s mom made a world changing discovery but before she could tell anyone about it, she was murdered when Cruz was very young, leaving Cruz with a mission to travel around the world on Orion collecting cipher pieces with his friends. However, while he is tracking the cipher, Nebula, the company that killed Cruz’s mom, is hunting him.

What I Liked And Didn't Like:

There wasn't really anything I didn't like. Explorer Academy was a great series with a lot of betrayal and plot twists. I liked that Emmet Lu was a bottomless pit and could eat a lot in like 2 minutes. At the beginning, Bryndis was not honest but at the end she was. I liked how it was told in a 3rd person point of view and how many wins and losses there are. Explorer Academy also does a good job of telling facts about countries, so I learned a lot. If I could rate it, I would rate it 5 stars.

What It Reminds Me Of:

Explorer Academy reminds me of Bravelands because of the shock of being betrayed and the adventure. It also reminds me of The Last Fallen Star by Graci Kim because of the strong friendship.
